During the War of Resistance Against Japan, Hua Zhen, a young man who grew up in a high-ranking political family, dreamed of becoming a military general. But his life took a turn for the worse. After traveling to Shanghai, he got involved in a murder case of a married couple and saved the victim’s daughter, Meng Tuo-shi. He then chose to impersonate Xiang Yuan-sheng and entered the police force to investigate the murder case. There, he met Chen Hao and Luo Min-min, who changed his perspective on life in a new direction.
