The series tells the story of Yoon Jin-ah (Son Ye-jin), a 30-year-old woman who works as a section chief in the sales department of a cosmetics company. She is a diligent and ambitious worker, but her love life is not going well. She recently broke up with her boyfriend of seven years.
One day, Jin-ah meets Seo Jun-hee (Jung Hae-in), the younger brother of her close friend Yoon Soo-ah (Jang So-yeon) at a restaurant. Jun-hee has just returned to Korea after studying abroad for a few years. He is a warm and gentle man, which is the opposite of Jin-ah’s straightforward and serious personality.
Jin-ah and Jun-hee begin to develop a relationship, and they quickly fall in love. However, their relationship faces many obstacles, including their age difference, Jin-ah’s family’s disapproval, and Jun-hee’s relationship with his ex-girlfriend.
